We donated $500 to the Children's Recovery Center for the L.U.V. 2005 Golf Tournament.  LUV is proud to sponsor this year's golf tournament to benefit sexually abused children and their diverse needs by donating all proceeds to a non-profit multidisciplinary Child Secual Abuse Clinic that serves Horry and Georgetown Counties.  Since 1994 Dr. Carol Rahter has provided independent medical exams and forensic interviews, as well as referrals for counseling for child victims of secual and physical abuse.  This year's proceeds will allow us to improve their new facility in Myrtle Beachand maintain their Georgetown office.  It will also be a tribute to your generosity and to true community teamwork.  Thank you to the membership for this helpful contribution.

We gave $500 to the Horry County Police Department C.O.P.E. team for the 2005 Christmas Season of "Shop with a Cop".  Children are provided with $100 each to shop for the Christmas Season.  This is an annual event hosted by the C.O.P.E. team that has become a major success.  Thanks again to the membership for your generosity.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that we donated $5,000 to the Grand Lodge FOP Hurricane Relief Fund.  We are more than happy to donate this money to the Hurricane victims knowing that we could certainly be the victims of a major hurricane at any time.  This money will help law enforcement officials that lost many or all of their belongings.  Thanks for such a generous donation.
